About
I am a Ph.D. student in Statistics at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, advised by Prof. Aaron J. Molstad in the School of Statistics.
Previously, I received my B.Eng. from Tsinghua University with a minor in Statistics. During my undergraduate studies, I worked with Prof. Jingyi Zhang and Prof. Bingxin Zhao.
My research interests are in statistics and biostatistics, with a focus on methods for high-dimensional and multi-omics data and sports analytics. I am especially interested in problems arising in biomedical science, statistical genetics, and performance analysis in endurance sports, using tools such as dimension reduction and transfer learning.
Outside of research, I am an avid orienteering athlete. I competed with the Tsinghua Orienteering Team (2019–2023) and now train and volunteer with Minnesota Orienteering Club (MNOC) and OUSA. I share orienteering notes in my Orienteering gallery and Blog, and occasionally post headcam videos from events on YouTube. You can also follow my training log on Attackpoint:
I also root for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Twins, and Vikings.
